Meditations

Integrating self-compassion into writing is the cornerstone of our work together in Compassionate Writer. Meditations and guided visualizations are a compassionate strategy to help you kickstart, maintain, and sustain creativity in your writing practice. They create a safe haven — an internal sense of safeness— for writing and any type of creative practice. When we don’t have this sense of internal safeness, a foothold for ourselves, writing can feel difficult and unwieldy. This lack of internal safeness often shows up as procrastination, resistance, avoidance, or the dreaded “writer’s block.”

During our live online sessions of a course/program, we start each session with a guided visualization. The meditations or guided visualizations shared here are intended to supplement what you experience in session and provide an easy library for you outside of our sessions.
